Lab Technician
Location: Taunton, Somerset
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary: £23,132 to £25,025 per year
Hours: 35 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
The Company
Our client is a specialist manufacturing business producing small precision components and assemblies within a controlled production environment.
The Role
The position will involve carrying out a range of laboratory and production processes involving small precision components.
The role includes working with chemicals and following strict Health & Safety and COSHH procedures. Previous chemical handling experience is preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Cleaning small precision components and assemblies.
* Testing components and assemblies.
* Carrying out etching processes.
* Handling chemicals safely.
* Handling bulk materials up to approximately 25 kg where required.
* Following Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
* Following production procedures and work instructions.
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
* Supporting general laboratory and production activities.
Skills & Experience
* Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred.
* Chemical handling experience beneficial.
* Cleaning, testing or etching experience beneficial.
* Comfortable working with chemicals.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Good manual dexterity.
* Able to follow procedures accurately.
* Comfortable working within a small team.
Package
* 23,132 to £25,025 per year.
* 35 hours per week.
* Monday to Friday day shifts.
* 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
* 3.5% employer pension contribution.
* Occasional overtime may be available.
