Job Description
Estimator – High-End Residential - Guildford
Our client is a bespoke High-End Residential Main Contractor with a turnover of approximately £40 million, delivering luxury projects across London and the South East. With a strong pipeline of work ranging from £50,000 to £30 million, they are continuing to grow and are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team.
This position is based in Guildford, with 1 day working from home available.
Responsibilities
* Full Project Cost Ownership
Take full financial responsibility for projects from initial enquiry through to final account, ensuring accuracy and commercial viability at all stages.
* Tendering & Pricing
Prepare and manage competitive tenders, including first principle estimating, ensuring all submissions are detailed and aligned with project scope.
* Negotiation of Contracts
Lead tender negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure commercially favourable outcomes.
* Subcontractor Liaison
Engage with subcontractors from early-stage pricing through to final accounts, maintaining strong working relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
* Client & Stakeholder Relationships
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, supporting repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Requirements
* Minimum 5–10 years’ experience as an Estimator or Pre-Construction Manager with a Main Contractor
* Degree qualified in a relevant field such as Commercial Management
* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Experience delivering projects from £50k up to £30m
Desirable
Experience working on high-end residential or interior fit-out projects valued between £3m–£30m
