CNC Miller Setter Location: Oxfordshire Salary: £21.00 - £22.00, Overtime 1.33 depending on experience, flexible working within reason Hours Monday – Thursday 8.00am 4.30 pm, Friday 8.00am – 1pm Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time A leading precision engineering manufacturer supplying components to some of the most advanced industries in the UK is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Setter to join its growing team. Working within a modern manufacturing environment, you will be involved in producing high-precision components for sectors including aerospace, space technology, advanced medical devices, motorsport and scientific research. The Role As a CNC Miller Setter, you will be responsible for setting and operating multi-axis CNC milling machines while ensuring components are manufactured to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include: * Setting and operating 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling machines. * Producing high-precision components to tight tolerances. * Conducting quality inspections using a range of measuring equipment. * Performing CMM inspection and producing inspection reports where required. * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. * Working to production schedules and deadlines. * Identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and throughput. * Maintaining a clean and organised manufacturing environment in line with 5S principles. * Working in accordance with ISO 9001 quality standards. Candidate Requirements * Proven experience setting and operating CNC milling machines. * Strong multi-axis machining experience. * Experience machining a variety of materials to tight tolerances. * The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings confidently. * Experience using inspection equipment and carrying out dimensional inspections. * A quality-focused approach with excellent attention to detail. * CMM experience desirable but not essential. * CNC programming experience (Edgecam, Fanuc or similar) would be advantageous but is not essential. Qualifications Applicants with any of the following will be particularly well suited: * Engineering Apprenticeship * NVQ in Engineering * City & Guilds Qualifications * National Engineering Technical Certificate Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
