Control Systems Engineer Salary: £40,000-£60,000 DOE Benefits: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, pension & personal development plan An established engineering and automation business is looking for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join its growing team. You'll work across the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to software development, testing, installation and commissioning. Projects span a variety of process and manufacturing environments, including food & beverage, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and utilities. Key Responsibilities Develop PLC software from scratch using platforms including Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi and Schneider Control system software design, development and implementation Develop HMI and SCADA applications Produce technical design and project documentation Industrial Ethernet network design and testing Electrical control panel integration and commissioning Carry out software and system testing Support on-site installation, testing and process commissioning Deliver real-time control system solutions from concept through to completion Technical Environment Experience across some of the following would be beneficial: Siemens TIA Portal / WinCC Rockwell ControlLogix Rockwell FactoryTalk View ME & SE Mitsubishi PLCs Schneider PLCs / ClearSCADA AVEVA InTouch / System Platform GE iFIX SQL Industrial Ethernet / networking PLC, HMI and SCADA system integration About You You'll be an experienced Controls, Automation or Systems Engineer with a strong understanding of the complete controls project lifecycle. You should be comfortable developing PLC software, working with HMI/SCADA systems and taking projects through testing and commissioning. The role would suit someone who enjoys technically varied project work and wants to continue developing their controls and automation expertise.
