Interim Building Safety Case Lead – London Local Authority £600 – £700 per day (Umbrella) | Interim | London Braxfield Recruitment is supporting a London local authority in the search for an experienced Interim Building Safety Manager to lead on the compilation of two Building Safety Cases for submission to the Building Safety Regulator. The council needs a specialist who can pull together robust, evidence-based safety case documentation and the underlying golden thread of information for two registered higher-risk buildings, working at pace against submission deadlines. The role You'll be responsible for gathering, structuring and quality-assuring the information needed to compile the Building Safety Cases for two registered higher-risk buildings, ensuring each stands up to scrutiny from the Building Safety Regulator. This includes: Pulling together structural, fire and building safety information from across the council's teams, contractors and consultants to build a complete golden thread for each building Compiling comprehensive Building Safety Case Reports that clearly evidence how building safety risks are being managed Liaising with the Principal Accountable Person and Accountable Persons to ensure statutory duties and evidencing requirements are met Coordinating with fire engineers, structural engineers, managing agents and residents' groups to close information gaps Managing the submission process and timeline for both safety cases, escalating risks to the deadline as needed Establishing repeatable processes and documentation standards so future safety case submissions and reviews are more efficient About you Proven experience compiling or contributing to Building Safety Case Reports for higher-risk residential buildings Strong working knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022, the Building Safety Regulator's requirements and the golden thread of information Experience working with Principal Accountable Persons/Accountable Persons in a social housing or local authority context Confident coordinating input from fire engineers, structural engineers, contractors and managing agents Highly organised, with the ability to manage complex documentation against firm submission deadlines The details Day rate: £600 – £700 / day Basis: Interim Location: London (local authority) Braxfield Recruitment specialises in social housing and property services recruitment, working with local authorities, housing associations and contractors.
