Project Manager (Software & Infrastructure Projects)
Remote (UK) | Inside IR35 | Contract to end of March 2027
Client: ICT & Electronics Organisation Unit | Planning & Project Management (Digital Backbone Portfolio)
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of software, infrastructure, and technology remediation projects within a major Digital Backbone Portfolio. Reporting into the Programme Manager, you'll take end-to-end ownership of projects, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality, while working closely with internal teams and third-party suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver software and infrastructure projects from initiation through to completion
Build and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and delivery roadmaps
Coordinate internal delivery teams, business stakeholders, and third-party suppliers
Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies with clear mitigation plans
Track delivery performance and provide governance reporting (status, RAID, budget, milestones)
Ensure compliance with organisational governance, security, and change management processesEssential Skills & Experience
Proven delivery of software and/or infrastructure projects in enterprise environments
Strong stakeholder management and supplier management capability
Experience in planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Demonstrable risk and issue management experience
Working knowledge of PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologiesDesirable
Experience delivering one or more of the following: infrastructure refresh, cloud migration, cyber security, obsolescence remediation
PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent certificationContract Details
