* Manage and coordinate major mechanical services including HVAC, heating and cooling, ventilation, pipework, domestic water, drainage and associated plant/equipment.
* Work closely with the electrical team, design consultants and construction management to ensure fully coordinated M&E installations within the constraints of an existing building.
* Manage specialist subcontractors and supply-chain partners, monitoring performance, productivity, quality, programme and health & safety compliance.
* Review mechanical designs, technical submissions, drawings, specifications and builders' work requirements, identifying design clashes, constructability issues and opportunities for value engineering.
* Maintain responsibility for the mechanical programme, identifying critical-path activities and implementing recovery plans where required to maintain key project milestones.
* Liaise closely with the client, main contractor, consultants and internal project team, chairing progress and coordination meetings and providing clear reporting on programme, cost, risk and delivery.
* Oversee testing, commissioning, witnessing and integration of mechanical systems, ensuring all installations meet the required technical, regulatory and project-specific standards.
* Drive the project through completion, including snagging, commissioning documentation, O&M information, client demonstrations and handover, while maintaining the standards required within a security-sensitive environment.
