The Opportunity
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing and recycling business that is continuing to invest heavily in its operations, people, and sustainable growth.
As Engineering Manager, you'll take ownership of the maintenance function at a busy processing facility, leading a team of engineers and driving reliability, performance, and continuous improvement across the site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering leader looking to influence site strategy, develop a high-performing team, and make a real impact within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and develop a team of maintenance engineers
Drive a proactive preventative maintenance culture
Oversee all planned and reactive maintenance activities
Manage engineering budgets and maintenance expenditure
Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with statutory inspections and Health & Safety regulations
Manage engineering stores and critical spare parts
Support equipment upgrades, capital projects and new installations
Manage external contractors and suppliers
Improve plant reliability, efficiency and overall site performance
About You
You'll ideally have experience as an Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Engineering Supervisor, Reliability Manager or similar within a manufacturing, recycling, production, process, or heavy industrial environment.
You will also possess:
Strong engineering leadership experience
Knowledge of PLC fault finding and diagnostics
Experience managing maintenance budgets and KPIs
Familiarity with CMMS/Maintenance Management Systems
Excellent communication and people-management skills
A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
