Job Description
Our client, an established technical business specialising in industrial drives, motors and related solutions, are looking for a Business Development Manager - Drives/Motors to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a remote South UK-based sales role focused on generating new business, developing existing accounts and increasing revenue and market share across the region.
Key responsibilities of the Business Development Manager - Drives/Motors job covering the South of the UK:
Identify and develop new B2B customers through targeted outbound sales activity
Promote drives, motors and associated products and services
Develop existing customer relationships and identify opportunities for account growth
Build and maintain accurate customer profiles and CRM activity
Manage opportunities from initial contact through to successful business development
Achieve agreed sales, revenue and gross profit targets
Analyse market share, competitor activity and customer opportunities
Work closely with marketing, purchasing, accounts, warehouse and branch teams
Produce regular sales, activity and budget reports
Identify opportunities to improve internal and external processes and profitability
Support the development of the South UK sales strategy and future growth plans
Experience required for the Business Development Manager - Drives/Motors job covering the South of the UK:
Proven B2B sales or business development experience
Experience within sales, telesales or customer-facing technical environments
Knowledge of drives, motors or related industrial/electrical products
Strong ability to identify new business opportunities and develop existing accounts
Commercially driven with experience working towards sales or margin targets
Excellent communication, negotiation and customer relationship skills
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Self-motivated and confident working remotely and independently
Ability to understand technical products and communicate their benefits to customers
