Pastoral Support Assistant - Brent Brent | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00am-4:00pm | ASAP Start Are you a graduate or experienced professional looking to build a career supporting the wellbeing, personal development and pastoral needs of young people? We're looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Pastoral Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Brent on a long-term, full-time basis, with the potential to become permanent. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates and individuals with experience in education, youth work, mentoring, counselling, coaching, SEN or other child and young people-focused roles. What You'll Do Provide pastoral support to students across KS3 and KS4 Build positive, trusting relationships with students Support students with their wellbeing, behaviour and personal development Provide one-to-one and small-group mentoring and support Help students overcome barriers to learning and engagement Support students with attendance, punctuality and behaviour Encourage confidence, independence, resilience and positive decision-making Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, SEN staff and families where appropriate Identify concerns and communicate them to the appropriate members of staff Help create a safe, supportive and inclusive school environmentWhat We're Looking For Positive, approachable, patient and empathetic Ideally educated to degree level and/or experienced working with teenagers Experience in education, youth work, mentoring, coaching, tutoring, SEN or pastoral support is desirable Experience supporting students with additional needs such as ADHD, Autism, dyslexia or SEMH is advantageous Strong communication and interpersonal skills Able to build positive relationships and maintain appropriate professional boundaries Passionate about supporting the wellbeing and development of young people Calm, resilient and confident when dealing with challenging situationsTo Apply To apply or find out more, contact Elizabeth Topley: Email: (url removed) Phone: (phone number removed) (Option 3)
